Your Roadmap to Every Achievement

This It Takes Two achievement guide helps you catch the hidden interactions that are easy to walk past while solving puzzles. Finding them matters because completing the story leaves plenty of optional achievements behind. Follow this It Takes Two achievement guide in chapter order to collect the Easter eggs and discover all 25 minigames without constantly backtracking.

The game has 20 achievements, with Power Couple serving as the additional PlayStation Platinum trophy. Set aside roughly 12–15 hours for the adventure and optional activities, allowing extra time for exploration or repeated platforming attempts.

AchievementHow to unlock
It Took TwoFinish the game and reach the ending.
Minigame MegalomaniaDiscover all 25 minigames across the adventure.
Power CoupleEarn every other trophy on PlayStation.

Chapter select lets you return for cleanup after finishing the game. You can also check your minigame totals by chapter through the pause menu, which is much faster than revisiting every location blindly.

Keep these priorities in mind:

  • Check side paths before following the main objective.
  • Listen for the tambourine sound associated with nearby minigames.
  • Compare both players’ achievement lists before leaving optional interactions.
  • Use chapter select to revisit anything you missed.

The main task in this It Takes Two achievement guide is exploration. Most optional unlocks involve a short interaction; Hell Tower is the notable platforming challenge.

Early Missable Achievements: The Tree and Rose’s Room

The Shed introduces minigames, but the optional Easter egg achievements begin in The Tree. Rose’s Room then packs several into its toy-filled environments, so slow down around side rooms, playground equipment, and anything that looks interactive.

AchievementChapter / sectionHow to unlock
Fried FriendshipThe Tree — CapturedAfter breaking through the wooden door, enter the recess on the right. Put one player in the squirrel torture device and operate it with the other.
Struck A PoseThe Tree — Deeply RootedAt the camera set, have one character pose while the other takes a picture. Swap roles afterward.
Plastic Prison BreakersRose’s Room — Pillow FortFollow the elevated pillow route into the room containing two action figures. Activate their buttons together.
Faraway FrequenciesRose’s Room — Spaced OutEnter the orange portal in the second portal set, climb the pillow tower, and use the satellite dish to find transmissions.
Look At Him GoRose’s Room — Spaced OutPut shrunken Cody on the seesaw, then have May ground pound the opposite end from above.
A Daring DevilRose’s Room — HopscotchSeat one player in the toy car while the other pulls it back. Release it toward the ramp and through the suspended hoop.
Break the BankRose’s Room — HopscotchFill the piggy bank with nearby coins, then ground pound it after it rolls onto its back.
SnackosaurusRose’s Room — Dino LandPosition Cody and his small dinosaur within reach of May’s large dinosaur, then use its bite interaction.
On Rails ExperienceRose’s Room — Once Upon a TimeBoard the moving village train together, using the conductor position and a passenger position.
Realize Your ArtRose’s Room — Once Upon a TimeSend each character through the rollers at the back of the printer near the painting area.

Watch the elevated routes

In Pillow Fort, the path toward Plastic Prison Breakers runs above the main passage. After finding Tank Brothers, keep looking upward rather than following every tunnel straight ahead. The action figures are an A Way Out Easter egg.

Spaced Out rewards the same habit. Its gravity lifts contain side openings leading to Space Walk and Laser Tennis. For Faraway Frequencies, rotate the satellite dish slowly and let each transmission finish before searching again.

Handle the car and piggy bank before moving on

For A Daring Devil, line up the toy car with the ramp and hoop before releasing it. A replacement car appears after a failed attempt, so adjust the alignment and try again.

Break the Bank sits beside Batting Team. Let one player smash the filled bank, then reload the checkpoint and switch the smashing role for the other player.

Use this part of the It Takes Two achievement guide as a reminder to explore Once Upon a Time before leaving its village. The train keeps moving, so follow the tracks until you catch it; the printer is across the area near the paint supplies.

Later Missable Achievements: Cuckoo Clock Through The Attic

The later chapters place several achievements inside open areas. Finish nearby activities before leaving the village, ice field, or music hub.

This stretch of the It Takes Two achievement guide includes the climb up Hell Tower, a turtle rescue, and some particularly strange ways to take a break.

AchievementChapter / sectionHow to unlock
Platforming ProdigyCuckoo Clock — Gates of TimeActivate Hell Tower, climb to its summit, and interact with the button at the top.
Force TriangulatedCuckoo Clock — Gates of TimeTake the riverboat through the tunnel, disembark at the dock, and enter the building.
Lost And FoundSnow Globe — Winter VillageFind all four baby turtles and use your magnets to return them to their mother.
Mood SwingSnow Globe — Winter VillageUnfreeze the swing area by ringing its nearby bell, then use the magnets to swing the rider until they fly off.
Something FishySnow Globe — Beneath the IceUse the fishing boat’s mounted grabber to catch a fish and feed it to a seal.
Terror Of The Seven SeasSnow Globe — Beneath the IceOpen the chest on the frozen pirate ship and put on a captain’s hat.
Bug Sized RelaxationThe Garden — Green FingersEnter the Greenhouse Spa after the Burrower fight and use a relaxation activity.
Meditation MaestroThe Attic — SymphonyEnter the small meditation hut off to the right and behind the arrival area, then sit down to meditate.

Take Hell Tower one landing at a time

Find the Hell Tower sign near Bomb Run and Horse Derby, then activate the tower together. Read the next platform’s movement before committing to a jump. May can use her clone partway up to make recovering lost height easier.

Check both achievement lists after reaching the summit, and have each player complete the climb as needed before leaving.

Clear Winter Village before departing

Ring all three bell towers to unfreeze the village’s activity areas. Then sweep through the turtle rescue, swing, and three minigames.

Use the appropriate opposite-colored magnet to move each baby turtle. Search the surrounding ice rather than leaving after finding the nearest pair: the family reunion requires all four.

In Beneath the Ice, return to the surface to find the fishing boat, frozen pirate ship, and Ice Race. Have each player feed a seal and wear a captain’s hat before moving on.

At the Greenhouse Spa, let both characters use an activity. Do the same at the meditation hut in Symphony so each player gets a turn at the interaction.
